1. Account and signing in
1.1 Creating an account and signing in
How do I create an account?
All you need to give us to create an account is an e-mail address. No password is needed. Every time you sign in, a 6-digit one-time code is sent to that address, and you enter it to sign in.
Signing in is therefore secure and you never have to come up with a password.
Do I have to set and remember a password?
No. ParkApp does not use passwords at all — so there is nothing to invent, remember or change.
Every time you sign in we send a one-time 6-digit code to your e-mail address and you enter it in the application. The code is valid only for a short while and only for that one sign-in.
Do I have to sign out?
For your own safety it is worth signing out if you are not going to use the service for a longer time. If you signed in in a browser on your own private device, it is not necessary.
If you sign in to your account on someone else’s device — do remember to sign out with the button in the application menu.
1.2 Using the application
Do I have to register in order to pay for parking?
If you do not want an account — you do not need one. To pay for parking you can use the application in “Guest” mode, without giving any personal details. Once you have chosen the car park and how long you want to park, you go straight to the payment and you can park.
Do I have to create an account if I want to earn from my parking spaces?
Yes. “Guest” mode is only for paying for parking.
To offer your space or your car park you need an account — it is where you define the car park, its spaces and its prices, and it is what the bank account your earnings are paid into is tied to.
2. Parking
2.1 Parking right now
How do I pay for parking with a QR code?
It is simple! On the car park’s board, or on the board by the parking space, you scan the QR code with your phone and it takes you straight to choosing how long you want to park. If the car park is free at the time you want to park, you are shown the proposed cost.
To go further you choose whether you want to park in “Guest” mode (without giving any details) or to register. In the next step you enter your registration number and pay by BLIK or by card.
How do I pay for parking straight from the application?
The application shows a map of Poland with the available car parks marked on it. If you let your browser share your location, you are taken straight to the car park you are physically standing in.
The first step is then to choose how long you want to park. If the car park is free at the time you want to park, you are shown the proposed cost.
To go further you choose whether you want to park in “Guest” mode (without giving any details) or to register. In the next step you enter your registration number and pay by BLIK or by card.
How do I extend a parking session?
We are working on extending a parking session and it will be available to drivers soon.
Why do I have to give my vehicle's registration number?
The registration number is what a paid session is recognised by. Checking a car park means checking whether the vehicle standing there has parking paid for at that moment — without the registration number there would be no way to confirm it.
So do take care that the number is entered correctly.
Do I have to leave a note behind the windscreen saying that I use ParkApp.pl?
There is no need. Checking is based on the vehicle’s registration number alone, so you do not have to print anything or leave anything behind the windscreen.
2.2 Booking a space
Why can I not book a space in every car park?
A booking for the future can only be made in a car park that has separate, numbered parking spaces marked out.
Car parks with no marked spaces (running as an open car park) only support parking that starts right now.
How do I change a booking I have already made?
We are working on changing a booked parking session and it will be available to drivers soon.
What if I arrive for my booking in a different vehicle from the one I gave when booking?
Add the other registration number to your account in the application. Any vehicle may park in the car park, provided its registration number is entered in your account.
It can be a vehicle of your own just as well as one that is not yours — hired, shared and so on.
How do I extend a parking session?

2.3 Receipts and invoices
How do I get a receipt for a session I have paid for?
Once the parking session is paid for, a summary screen appears with all the details of the parking.
At the bottom of that screen you can download the receipt.
If an e-mail address was given during registration, the receipt is also sent to it.
How do I get an invoice for a parking session I have paid for?
To receive an invoice, go to the “my account” tab, then to the “billing account” page, click “Manage”, change the account type to business and give your billing details.
From then on you receive an invoice rather than a receipt once you have paid for parking.
3. Creating a car park
3.1 Creating a car park
Can I define my car park myself?
Absolutely! Create an account, click “Add car park” on the “Account” page and take the first steps towards earning from your car park.
What does the verification of a car park before it goes live involve?
We have to check that the car park is properly signposted for drivers and that it matches its description. We want the car parks that appear on the map to be easy for drivers to use.
Why does the activation process require a bank transfer?
It is what lets us verify the identity of the person setting up the car park, so that nobody can impersonate another business or another person.
Do I have to define parking spaces if my car park has none marked out?
It is required whether or not the car park has marked spaces. If it does not, we use the information only to work out how many spaces the car park has, so that drivers get a better idea of what is available.
How do I signpost my car park?
You need to put up at least a board with the terms of use and a large board with a QR code. You can download the board artwork as a PDF from your account panel and print it yourself, or simply order PVC or metal boards for your car park from our shop.
If the car park has separate parking spaces marked out, each space also has to be marked with its own board carrying the QR code assigned to THAT space.
Even where separate spaces are marked out but are not signposted with their own numbered boards, the car park will run as an open car park — which means no bookings for the future and no season tickets.
3.2 Managing a car park
Why is it worth defining periods when the car park is unavailable?
It happens that one or more parking spaces are unavailable for a while — because of planned repair work, for instance, or other events.
In that case those spaces have to be taken out of the pool of available ones, so that nobody books a space that is not in fact free.
How do I set the prices for my customers?
Go to your car park’s settings and choose “Prices and packages”.
On the page that opens you can set the rate for the first hour and for the following ones, and also different rates depending on the time of day, as well as packages of hours. There is a lot you can do.
4. Checking parking spaces
4.1 For drivers
Who can check whether I have paid for my parking session?
Payment is checked by the owner of the car park or the people they appoint, and by inspectors. They can check whether a given vehicle has a parking session paid for at that moment in that car park.
What are the consequences of not paying?
Not paying for parking may result in an additional charge in line with the terms of use.
4.2 For owners and inspectors
How do I check whether a given vehicle may park in a particular space?
Once signed in, choose “My car parks”, then the car park you want to check, and open the “Parking spaces” page. There you see the list of your parking spaces, each marked with the vehicle that may park in it at that moment.
How do I issue an additional charge for parking in the wrong place?
The first step is to report the use without a contract (from your account, under “Inspector”). You give the vehicle’s registration number and the time of the check, and attach photographs showing the registration number of the vehicle standing in the car park being checked.
Once the report is added you receive a report number, which you copy onto a slip from the pad. The copy of the slip is left behind the windscreen of the parked vehicle.
It is also worth photographing the slip once it is behind the windscreen, to be sure it was actually left there.
ParkApp will soon supply the slips. Until then, we encourage you to print the additional charge slip (PDF) yourself.
5. Reporting problems
5.1 As a driver
My space turns out to be taken — what do I do?
If you have a booking paid for and your space is taken, first make sure you are in the right car park at the right time. If you are — the “Bookings” tab has a “My space is taken” button. Click it.
The system shows a list of free neighbouring spaces, and you can move your booking to one of them straight away.
Separately, you can report the use without a contract to us by entering the vehicle’s registration number and attaching photographs showing the vehicle in your parking space together with its registration number (it does not have to be a single photograph).
The car park or the space is unavailable — what do I do?
In the account tab click “Reports” and then “New report”. Choose the right type of problem and send the report.
We will deal with it as quickly as we can.
5.2 As the owner of a car park
How do I report use without a contract?
See section 4.2.
How do I report other problems with my car park?
In the account tab click “Reports” and then “New report”. Choose the right type of problem and send the report.
We will deal with it as quickly as we can.
